Menus Announced for Fried Chicken and Bubbles Event

If you haven’t heard, we are about a week away from our first ever fried chicken and bubbles event in Bluffton. It will be held on Thursday, October 27th at the Culinary Institute of the South at 6:30pm.

Guests will enjoy four different styles of fried chicken from two renowned chefs in the area. A bounty of side dishes will be provided by the Culinary Institute and its students.

Paired with the unlimited fried chicken will be bottomless pours of bubbles to include both sparkling wines and champagne.

This week we received final menus from our chefs, Farid Ahmed-Executive Chef for the Sea Pines Resort and Clayton Rollison, Executive Chef at Callawassie Island. they feature a variety of styles and flavor profiles to provide a unique fried chicken experience.

Chef Farid will offer – Traditional Carolina Style Fried Chicken with Honey, and House made Hot sauces as well as Crispy Chicken Pakoras (crispy fried boneless bites), served with Mint Chutney, and Tamarind Sauce 

Chef Clayton will offer – Asian Fried Chicken Wings – Spicy, Sweet and Sour as well as Sweet Tea Brined Smoked Fried Chicken with White BBQ Sauce

A separate table of sides provided by the Culinary Institute of the South will round out the meal. They include collard greens, mac and cheese, herb-roasted root vegetables, apple and fennel slaw, and kale and feta salad. There will also be desserts such as lemon meringue tarts, pumpkin bread pudding, death by chocolate bites, and salted caramel cupcakes.
