Savannah’s Collins Quarter named Top Brunch in Georgia

This is not at all a surprise.

Ten years after Anthony Debreceny decided he wanted to open a coffee/brunch spot in Savannah that was along the lines of what he was accustomed to in his native Australia, his flagship restaurant, The Collins Quarter has been named the top brunch spot in Georgia by Yelp.

Yelp is one of the top review-driven websites in America. Decisions were based on volume of business and favorable reviews over a three year period. That was enough to earn The Collins Quarter their top spot in Georgia and #15 overall across the United States.

Southern Cross Hospitality, CQ’s parent company, also owns and operates several other restaurants in the Savannah area, to include The Collins Quarter in Forsyth Park, The Fitzroy on Drayton Street, UKIYO Japanese Cuisine in the Starland neighborhood, The Deck Kitchen and Bar on Tybee Island, and Doki Doki Ice Creamery on Bull Street.

Never one to seek the spotlight, Debreceny took to social media to thank his staff for their dedication to making their restaurants some of Savannah’s go-to’s. A sentiment that clearly extends beyond city limits.

There are also plans for an Italian concept on Broughton Street. That space is being developed in hopes of opening later this year.

Incidentally, The Collins Quarter was one of 4 restaurants in the State of Georgia named to the list. The others were Pooler’s location of Another Broken Egg came n at #76. Flavor Rich in Suwanee sits at #36 and Atlanta’s Buttermilk Kitchen is at #94.

The list named their top 100 in America.
