Jesse Blanco is, without question, one of Savannah/Hilton Head Islands most popular media personalities.
He originally moved to the area in 1999 to work as a sportscaster at WSAV-TV (NBC). Nearly 2 decades later, he has worked for or with every television station in the market in a number of capacities, from Sports Anchor to News Anchor to TV show host.
Jesse was the first Hispanic American to serve as a News Anchor in the Savannah market, a feat he is very proud of.
A native of Miami, Florida, Jesse graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science.
His travels over a 23 year TV news career took him from Orlando to Fort Myers, Florida, Savannah, Nashville, and El Paso, Texas.
In 2008, he returned to Savannah to work for WTGS-TV (FOX) and just over a year later, decided to turn one of his hobbies (food) into a small business.
The result was Eat It and Like It. One of the most respected media brands in the region. When he is not writing, eating or traveling, you will find Jesse following one of his favorite sports teams (anything Miami) or enjoying some rare downtown with his wife and daughter. Over a decade of writing about food later, Jesse says his best days are when he is at home cooking with a glass of wine nearby.
