The Savannah Brunch Guide

As quickly as everything on the food scene is changing around here, every so often you need to stop, take a look around and assess the landscape.

For those of us that have been in Savannah for any decent length of time, we can remember when the dining options were pretty limited. If you are just moving here from a larger ‘foodie city’ then you probably still think our options are limited depending on what it is that you are looking for.

One of the main things we can say that Savannah has in great abundance now is brunch. It wasn’t all that long ago (a handful of years) that choices for brunch were pretty limited. Saturday brunch was absolutely unheard of. Now? It’s the norm. So many are doing it. So many are doing it well.

As a result of that growth, we decided to put together Savannah’s first Brunch Guide.

What is it?

Well, it’s pretty simple actually. A listing of almost anywhere we could find in and around Savannah that offers brunch. We listed them, then broke them down into categories. Click on each photo to see that listing.

After that, it’s pretty simple. We listed them all and put them in the place where we thought they belonged. Once you realize that everyone ‘brunches’ differently, then it is easy to see how it broke down.

Each location has a listing. In that listing you will see what we like, what we don’t like, what you should try if you go and what you can expect if you visit. There’s also an address, phone number and link to their website.

It is Savannah’s first comprehensive guide of its kind. As is always the case here at Eat It and Like It, it is not, nor will it ever be driven by advertising. Additionally, we make 1 or 2 exceptions, but we generally avoid national chains restaurants. That’s just the M-O around here. Always has been.

The guide will be a permanent fixture on this website. It is not a seasonal thing, it’s not a temporary thing. So feel free to reference it and share it and like it at your leisure.

Did we miss anyone? Let us know. We are always listening. tips@eatitandlikeit.com

Cheers and Happy Brunching!

  1. Brunch Guide was much needed. Thank you! Not all heroes wear capes! Minor suggestion if I may? Could you add a simple category for Bottomless (Yes or No) and if so, when (Sat and/or Sun, or daily) and how much $? While bottomless is not a must for a good brunch, from time to time the occasion calls for it. Particularly when guests are in town. I bet bachelorette parties would appreciate it too.
