“Yeah. September pretty much sucked for everyone.”
I had to laugh when a client shared that gem with me last week. It was hard to disagree. What amounted to a two week disruption because of Dorian and then a pre-empting of our show due to Georgia Football on the 21st, we were on roller blades all month. By the time I looked up at the calendar, there were 2 days left in September.
The good news is we are back on track with a great season of television ahead. This weekend we will feature an episode on plant based restaurants. Going forward, we visit some of my favorite steakhouses, taquerias in the area and, of course, Drink It and Like It. Which is currently scheduled for November.
Truthfully, the holidays are down the road a bit, but we are entering the most wonderful time of the year. It looks like Summer might just break next week and we can begin to enjoy a fall full of festivals and outdoor events.
We are very much looking forward to a weekend on Daufuskie Island for their Vibes and Tides event October 18-20th and another great week of food at Savannah Food and Wine Festival.
And of course who can forget the annual October marathon of the Savannah Greek Food Festival and Shalom Y’all at the end of the month. Lots of eating and liking to do.
That’s just a sample of course.
Those of you who have enjoyed our Fried Chicken and Champagne events can look for that to pop up on the calendar soon as well.
We have a lot of stuff we are planning to roll out this fall. Beyond the television show. I thought a lot of it would be out already, but, you know, September.
