The Savannah Food and Wine Festival announced on Friday that all of their events scheduled for November 2020 would not be held. Instead, the focus now turns to 2021.
“With so many future unknowns for the rest of this year, we have chose to err on the side of caution.” was a portion of the statement released on Friday.
The reality is, planning and logistics for Savannah Food and Wine happen almost year round. Restaurants are recruited to participate, vendors are secured and sponsors are lined up.
We spoke to SFWF Co-founder Jan Gourley about 2020 last month and there was cautious optimism about the ability to deliver another fabulous week of food and drink in the heart of Savannah. Clearly, the landscape has shifted across the South in the last 30 days.
