Forsyth Farmers Market Annual Picnic is Sunday

Raise your hand if you’ve lived in Savannah for any length of time and you know that the Forsyth Farmer’s Market is celebrating 10 years in the city? Nope. I didn’t realize it until recently either. It is, however, true.

Much like any other non-profit out there, the market has built to this point largely from the support of the community. There are corporate donations every year, a few bucks from government grants here and there, and of course good old fashioned fund raising. The largest fundraiser is coming up Sunday afternoon.

The annual Forsyth Farmer’s Market Farm Picnic is this Sunday, April 28th at the Old Dairy Farm on Savannah’s East Side. 2500 Tennessee Avenue to be exact. 4:00pm-7:00pm.

Food is provided by some of the best in town including Green Truck Pub, Bull Street Taco, Cha Bella, Brighter Day, Pacci and The Grey. Beverages will be provided by Service Brewing Company, PERC and The Sentient.

One price ($40 in advance, $45 at the door) gets you all you care to eat or drink for an afternoon. There will be live music, fun for the kids and an overall wonderful afternoon.

Tickets are available on line by clicking here through Friday night. Tickets will be available in person at the market Saturday morning and at the door Sunday afternoon.

See you there!
