How in the world do you pick one dessert to rule them all? Truthfully, you don’t. We enjoyed so many amazing desserts over the last year or so that it made it next to impossible to say one is really ‘better’ than another. Some people prefer sweeter desserts. Others can’t have a dessert unless chocolate is involved. We took all of that into account. We judged based on our own tastes as well. The competition was so thick that we couldn’t possibly name a 2nd place. Frankly, that would be almost unfair. We did however pick one dessert that was the most show-stoppingest (just made that word up) of them all in our travels. The Dark Chocolate and Banana Bread Pudding at Moss and Oak inside of the Hyatt Savannah deserves your attention. Yesterday. In our book, it is the perfect balance of everything you need in a dessert. Yes, it is sweet. Desserts are supposed to be if you ask me, but the bitterness of the chocolate makes it almost perfect.
