The Eat It and Like It Foodie Awards are awarded annually celebrating the best in food for the Greater Savannah Area and the South Carolina Low Country. A panel of 4 people participate in our nomination and award granting process. Three of those participants are anonymous.
Criteria is simple: The 2019 Foodie Awards are for the 2018 Calendar year. The Foodie Awards are the result of dozens of regular dining experiences throughout the year. Candidates are judged on meals as well as dining experience. We all know a great meal can be ruined by service. Our Awards are intended to reward excellence across the board. The best part? The Eat It and Like It Foodie Awards are never based on advertising revenue. They are based on merit. That’s why we believe they are Savannah and the Low Country’s best “Best.”
For the 1st time, we are handing out Foodie Awards in separate divisions. Savannah and The Low Country. For years we’ve thought it difficult to compare a great, for example, Italian restaurant on Hilton Head Island with another in Richmond Hill. The area is simply too large. Not enough of us travel between these areas to make sense for us all. We are excited to offer both sections of this beautiful coastal region its own great list.
