Beer slushies from Two Tides Brewing Company have been cooling off people in Savannah all summer. Now the brewery located in the Starland District is offering new recipes in collaboration with 10 breweries from across the country for Slush Fest.
On Saturday, August 29, you’ll be able to enjoy flavors like Miami Madness and Prickly Pear in the Two Tides beer garden or take them home to savor later. All the flavors of slushies will be posted online on Wednesday, August 26, ahead of the event. This will allow anyone interested to buy their slushies or special merchandise ahead of time to avoid a wait.
During the festival, the twelve flavors will have a staggered release. Four flavors will be available at one of three pickup windows. Liz Massey, who owns Two Tides with her husband James, tells us staff will be on hand to direct you to the right window and make sure people are lining up safely.
“Even though it can’t look like some of our really big events in the past, we’re going to be using as much of De Soto Avenue as we can,” said Massey.
This will allow customers to spread out safely while enjoying their slushies or food from vendors like Big Bon Bodega.
