Well, apparently the 9th time was the charm.
Nine! Would it be fair to call him the Susan Lucci of Hemingways? Nah, not really.
Savannah’s Michael Groover (sometimes known around the country as Mr. Paula Deen) won the annual Ernest Hemingway look-alike contest in Key West over the weekend. Yes, in his 9th try.
Over the years, Michael has shared a real desire to win that contest (why on earth would you return year after year?) There is much more to the process than just showing up with a nicely trimmed beard. This year alone there were over 150 entrants.
Thinking here is he will celebrate by going fishing.
