It’s one sure sign that the Savannah Food and Wine Festival is right around the corner, the official unveiling of the year’s poster. The design selected for 2018 was created by Lindsay Immel, a graphic designer based out of downtown Savannah.
Immel says her inspiration came from seeing a map of Savannah drawn on a SCAD tote bag. She decided to hand draw her own map and the idea evolved from there. The original hand drawn map hangs in her home as a constant source of inspiration.
“When I saw the poster design contest for the SFWF, I knew that would become the foundation for the poster entry. Basically, it’s combining two things that I not only love but things that hold positive motivation in my life: this city and good design.” she says.
