With fun events like the Friday evening concert with Deaz Guys, the Run Forrest Run Bridge Run/Walk and the Adopt-a-Shrimp Race benefitting local charities, and the top area restaurants competing for the coveted “best recipe” and “most creative recipe” and we, the hungry masses, all benefit! From 5:30 – 8:00 pm, 12 of the best food trucks in the Lowcountry will come together at the Shops at Sea Pines Center at 71 Lighthouse Road to benefit Hilton Head Heroes, topped off with live entertainment. And while you’re there, get a jump on your holiday shopping at the upscale shops in the plaza. Kids will get a kick out of the life-size alligator statue! South Beach Marina Oyster Roast at the Salty Dog: October 5, 2019Sea Pines Resort on the south end of Hilton Head Island has a restaurant whose brightly colored-shirts emblazoned with Jake, a sea-faring black lab, are seen all over the world – this iconic restaurant welcomes fall with Lowcountry oysters steamed over fire pits and live music at 4:00 pm. When you’ve had your fill of oysters, cross South Sea Pines Drive and take a walk along South Beach where the Atlantic Ocean meets Calibogue Sound, known as the best spot for dolphin sightings.
