This is an award I thought fit Patrick and Jenny McNamara for years. He’s the chef, she’s ‘Momma’ as he calls her. Very much in charge of what is going front of the house at Noble Fare. What? Noble Fare? Not familiar? Well, it’s popular with locals. The tourists all seemed to find a way to their front door. Located away from tourist central at Jefferson and Harris streets, they’ve offering solid fare for a decade or more.
Patrick likes to keep his menus tight. 6-7-8 items usually. He says he does that in order to do a handful of things very well. Which he absolutely does. Duck? Steaks, Scallops, they deliver every time. Jenny brings in the wines and offers perfect pairings.
Running a restaurant is hard work. Lots of hours. When both parents are in that restaurant it’s even harder. Juggling the kids just adding to the challenge. Executing so well for so long is a testament to what the McNamaras do here in Savannah.
