And here you thought we were done with all of this chicken sandwich insanity.
A couple of weeks after Popeye’s Fried Chicken turned the fast-food universe upside down with a limited release of a brand new chicken sandwich, Savannah favorite Cotton and Rye is doing their own version.
“We had wanted to do it at the same time that they were doing theirs, but the hurricane got in the way.” says Owner and Executive Chef Zach Shultz.
The Cotton and Rye version is definitely a looker.
Spicy Buttermilk Marinated Chicken Breast on a homemade King Hawaiian Roll, Lemon Aioli and pickle chips.
“That bread is delicious” Zach says.
The whole thing looks amazing.
Just like Popeye’s this deal won’t last forever, but unlike Popeye’s we are telling you now they will probably be gone after a couple of days. So you may need to address your chicken addiction sooner rather than later.
Served with a side of chips for $14.00
Eat It and Like It. I know I will.
