Proof that our awards aren’t a “Downtown Thing” comes in the form of Riverboat Pizza Company. You will find it on Highway 17 Halfway to Richmond Hill if you are coming from Savannah. Off of the beaten path? Hidden Treasure? Go ahead, use all of the cliches you’d like. Reality is the folks that live out that way know all about Riverboat Pizza. It’s time everyone else has as well. It should be mentioned that this category is going to be very interesting with at LEAST 2 new pizza shops opening in the Starland area of Savannah. Plus another proposed for Abercorn near Bolton Streets. We shall see.
