One of the hardest awards to give out every year. There are a ton of great burgers in the area. A sure sign of growth. A few years ago, there were 2-3 great ones. Now, you can probably count 6 or 7. All of them deserving. Ultimately, this award came down to consistency. We tried this burger, along with a few others, a number of times over the course of a year or so. They were all great most of the time. The Bethesda Burger at The Howlin’ Hound Midtown Savannah is a diet destroyer for sure. Named for the beef, which comes locally from Bethesda Academy, the burger is a melted cheesy-bacony mixture of delicious. If you haven’t had it, you owe it to yourself to try it. Then sleep it off afterward.
