While it may not garner as much attention as that other ‘beer-centric’ holiday in March, Oktoberfest offers a opportunity for Beer and Brat lovers alike to enjoy a nearly month-long celebration of Bavarian culture across the region.

Beginning this weekend, it won’t be at all hard to find an Oktoberfest celebration that you can enjoy. Here’s a quick guide to the region’s best bets:

Savannah

Plant Riverside District -Downtown Savannah. September 26th through October 18th

It would be fair to say Plant Riverside hosts the largest celebration of it’s kind in Savannah city limits. The fun begins on Saturday, October 26th with their kickoff event. Festivities will be held every weekend through October 18th including the very popular Weiner Dog Races on Saturday, October 11th. There will be a Stein Holding Challenge and, of course, plenty of food and drink for purchase. See a full list of their planned activities here.

Service Brewing Company -September 20th

It’s that time of year to celebrate the official start of Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 20th from 12-8:30pm! Enjoy German-style beer releases, great music, beer brats, pretzels, Lebkuchen heart cookies and limited edition souvenir beer steins handcrafted in Germany!

Our pals from Strangebird will be grilling brats and slinging pretzels and Two Smart Cookies will be bringing the sweet treats! 

Two Tides Brewing Co – September 27th

The countdown has begun to their 8th annual 𝗢𝗞𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗧! Saturday, September 27th, 12pm-8pm. Event glassware and merch, delicious eats, live music, and of course, Festbier. Event details are listed here.

BLUFFTON

Lot 9 Brewing Company, Beginning September 20th and ongoing

Get ready to raise your steins at Lot 9 brewing co.’s Oktoberfest bash on Saturday, September 20. There will be beer and food, of course, but also games and German party vibes all day long. See more here.

Blufftemberfest, Saturday September 27th.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island Oktoberfest – Saturday, October 4th.

We’re heading to Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina on Saturday, October 4 to raise a pint at the Hilton Head Island Oktoberfest, presented by Samuel Adams & Rollers. From 12–4 PM, enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon filled with great beer, German-inspired fun, and live music from White Liquor.

You’ll find Lincoln & South alongside an incredible lineup of breweries from across the region, pouring our favorites for you to enjoy.
