Starland Cafe

Let’s be clear about one thing, I do not consider a traditional ‘panini’ to be in the same category as a big ol’ honkin’ sandwich. It’s just not. At least not in the sense of what we have on our list of hot picks. However, the panini (plural, panino singular) at Starland Cafe in Savannah are tough to ignore. Only open for a few hours a day at the lunch hour, Starland is a straight-up locals favorite. Tucked away on a residential street, the converted house offers some of the best salads in town as well as great sandwiches. Vegetarian options always available. How good is the food? The guys at Starland have become Savannah’s go-to for movie productions in town. They do a TON of catering for all kinds of films coming through the area.  Click here for more
