She wow’d the crowd when she rolled through town a couple of years ago at the Johnny Mercer Theater, but now Singer/Songwriter Patti LaBelle is returning to Savannah for one afternoon only. Is this the part of this column where we tell you Ms. LaBelle has a new attitude?
Of course it is.
The Southern Women’s Show has announced that Ms. LaBelle will be on hand, Sunday, March 25th at 1pm.
What many people may not know is that Patti LaBelle has 5 best-selling cookbooks to her credit and has made multiple appearances on national television talking about a line of food products she has called “Patti’s Good LIfe.” Now you can see it all live right here in Savannah.
“We’re so excited to welcome Patti to Savannah and the Southern Women’s Show,” said Sara Cochran, show manager for Southern Women’s Show. “Patti’s story is so inspirational and her new line of food products are simply delicious. We can’t wait for guests to come and hear her speak and get to know her a little more!”
In addition to Patti’s entertainer and entrepreneurial achievements, she is also an advocate for adoption, foster care, Big Sisters and the United Negro College Fund, among many other initiatives. In addition, after being diagnosed with diabetes, Patti became a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association. She is also the proud spokesperson for Hood Calorie Countdown, a rich and creamy dairy beverage that provides the wholesome nutrition of milk with less sugar and fewer calories and carbohydrates.
Tickets for the event are $8 (general admission for the Southern Women’s Show). They are available in advance at SouthernWomensShow.com
