Savannah Tequila Company to offer special “Dia de los Muertos” pairing dinner

Savannah Tequila Co. at Plant Riverside District, located at 400 W. River St., will host a special Catadores Club Tequila Pairing Dinner to celebrate the traditional Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. This one-night-only dining experience will offer an exquisite five-course dinner designed to complement the smooth, complex flavors of Hornitos premium tequila on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Plant Riverside District Executive Chef Eric Fullem and his talented culinary team have thoughtfully prepared an authentic Mexican menu inspired by the bright marigold flowers and ornately decorated sugar skulls that define Día de los Muertos.

“Our Catadores Club Tequila Dinner in November is designed to engage the senses, combining the rich flavors of Mexico with premium tequila pairings,” said Chef Fullem. “There’s no better way to celebrate Día de los Muertos than with an intimate, spirits-focused dining experience that can only be found at Savannah Tequila Company.”

Pork Tamal and Rajas Poblano with Charred Tomatoes and Grilled Queso Fresco

Each course will be perfectly paired with samples of Hornitos tequila as well as specialty cocktails. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to learn from a Hornitos spirits specialist about the Jalisco, Mexico-based company’s smooth tequila. Since 1950, Hornitos tequila has been made by cooking 100% blue agaves in special ovens, or “hornitos.”

The monthly Catadores Club Tequila Pairing Dinner series at Savannah Tequila Co. features pairings of authentic Mexican cuisine with acclaimed tequilas and international tequila experts, offering an interactive learning experience about spirits, food and culture.
