By now, you may have heard about the fun we have planned for January. Eat It and Like It’s Restaurant Weeks. If you haven’t, well it is about time you should.
In a nutshell, we have gotten together with close to 2 dozen restaurants in Savannah and are hosting our own Restaurant Weeks promotion. It begins Thursday, January 10th and runs through Saturday February 2nd. That’s the night before the Super Bowl. You can read about the nuts and bolts of the promotion here if you’d like.
You can see a list of participating restaurants here. We are including Lunch, Dinner and Brunch.
Now, here is where it gets interesting. I want to take you to dinner!
Our Restaurant Weeks promotion lasts 3 weeks here. That is giving us plenty of time to take a few winners to dinner. Yes, more than one winner. We will draw a dinner for 2 every week for 3 weeks. We will discuss a location and go from there.
All you have to do to enter is text EATRW to 22828. You will get a response asking for an email address. Once that is entered, you are good to go. Don’t worry about sharing your email address. It’s nothing more than a verification process. That’s it. No catches, no gimmicks, no purchase necessary. We will pick 1 winner every week. That winner will be notified via email.
And of course, you need to be available for dinner on pretty short notice.

You should check out the new BBQ restaurant on 4th St. in Rincon called Big South BBQ. Shawn and Sally Scott are the owners. Shawn makes his own rub and sauces (Soggy Bottom) that is sold at Smith Brothers in Savannah along with some other local stores. Everything is smoked and made on site. Lots of flavor, tender and big portions. Just found out they are even shooting a scene for a movie about the life of Gloria Steinem, starring Julianne Moore and Bette Midler there on Monday Jan 28th. Hours are Tues -Fri 5pm to 8pm. Wed to Fri 11am to 2pm, and 11am to 8pm on Sat. Closed Sun and Mon.
