Masquerade & Mystery Under the Moonlight: Friday, November 22, 2019 This reception and 3-course dinner catered by Low Country Kitchen Oak Terrace at Rose Hill is part of the annual Bluffton Book Festival where guests will meet and dine with New York Times and national best-selling authors Alafair Burke, Harry J. Connolly, Tina Lifford, Ivy Pochada, Susan Riley, Sallie Ann Robinson, and Beverly Willett and featuring writer/comedian and host Tina Brown. Dinner will be followed by a Q & A and book signing.  Historic Bluffton Oyster Roast, Saturday, November 23, 2019 Owned and operated by the Bluffton Historical Preservation Society, the Heyward House Museum & Welcome Center in Old Town Bluffton is the ideal setting for an oyster roast – the historic house was built in 1841 and brings the charm of the Lowcountry to life. This $40 ticket ($20 for kids 12 and under) will get you all-you-can-eat May River oysters, side dishes and plus 2 drink tickets, live music by Evan Rose and a 4-piece bluegrass, rain or shine.  Inaugural Charleston Oyster Social: Sunday, November 24, 2019 This inaugural celebration of Charleston’s mariculture is put on by Chef Mike Lata and his culinary team at FIG, one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. This much anticipated event is happening on Bowens Island overlooking the gorgeous marsh, just north of Folly Beach and south of James Island, where the oysters will be served roasted, grilled, and dressed by some of the area’s best restaurants and breweries including The Grocery, Le Farfalle, Obstinate Daughter, The Ordinary, Binky’s Oyster Bar, Freehouse Brewery and Revelry Brewery. Did we mention they’re having an oyster shucking competition? Tickets are $125 general admission, $45 for children 11-17, & children 10 and under are free.
