If I had a nickel for every time someone has told me they miss they former “night in Old Savannah” I’d be fairly wealthy today. We’ve been discussing ways to bring something like it back for a couple of years, now we think we’ve got it. We are calling it Hostess City Eats, a one-night Savannah Restaurant Week preview event.

Eat It and Like It’s Restaurant Week begins January 29th. Four days earlier, you can taste your way through it in one room.

Hostess City Eats brings our participating Restaurant Week entries together at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District on Monday, January 25th. Each participating restaurant will share samples, so you can try the places on your list, find new ones, and plan your reservations before the week starts. One night, one location, no parking hunt between stops.

It will be a cocktail hour free flowing event, with some outdoor space riverfront if the weather cooperates.

VIP entry is at 5:00 PM. General admission entry is at 5:30 PM. The event runs until 7:30 PM.

Early Bird pricing is on sale now through December 1st, or until it sells out. After that, the price goes up.

VIP admission is also on sale. You get in 30 minutes early, before the crowd, and you get two drink tickets.

This is the kickoff to Restaurant Week, and you’ll know exactly where you want to eat by the time it starts.

We will share the list of participants soon as it is expected to grow. This is an early bird heads up to what will be a great night on the Savannah River.
