Burnt Church Distillery launches Supper Club Experience

Since opening in March 2021, Burnt Church Distillery has become one of the most beloved destinations in the Lowcountry.

How could it not be? It’s a stones throw from Old Town Bluffton which draws them in from everywhere. The 20,000-square-foot campus draws locals and visitors alike with its award-winning craft spirits, rooted in the legend of Burnt Church Road and the rich history of the region. Now, they’re adding something new to the experience.

Burnt Church has officially launched a Supper Club, and the debut dinner on Wednesday, June 17th was a standout. Four thoughtfully crafted courses — featuring fresh oysters, local shrimp and grits, and more — each paired with Burnt Church cocktails in perfectly portioned samplings. It felt elevated without being pretentious, and the value was genuinely impressive. The expectation is to keep the price point under $100 per person, pairings included, going forward. Non-alcoholic pairings are also available with advance notice at a slightly lower price — a nice, inclusive touch.

Driving the culinary vision is newly hired chef Katherine Mackay, who plans to build on the strong foundation already in place at Hail Mary’s Sports Bar on the property while putting her own creative spin on things.

The next Supper Club is Friday, July 31st, with plans to shift to mid-week dates in the fall. For more information and reservations, visit burntchurchdistillery.com.
