2018 Eat It and Like It Foodie Awards

We’re back.

So much has gone on with Eat it and LIke it and Jesse Blanco Productions during the last 18 months that it is hard to figure out which end is up sometimes. The growth of the food scene in the Savannah/Bluffton/Hilton Head Island region makes it hard to overlook those that are doing great things every single day. We certainly try to feature as many as we can on our show, with some semblance of decorum of course, but still there are many who haven’t ‘been on TV’ with us who deserve recognition for greatness in food in our region.

That is very simply why we created The Foodie Awards in 2014.

The Foodie Awards are not an awards show. Where we sit around waiting for a winner to be named. Not at all. The Eat it and Like It Foodie Awards are the after party. A place where all of our winners can come, mingle, have a drink, eat some great food and truly be honored as a guest a “Best of” party.

It’s so easy to say “Hey you do the best (insert name of food) now can you make us enough for 500 people?” That’s work. That’s not a celebration. The Foodie Awards are a party for our winners to enjoy. Not labor over.

Past winners include “Best Place to burn a paycheck”, “Best Burgers” “Best Chicken Wings” and many more. Most categories are expected, a few others are not. Keeping in tune with what we try to accomplish as the voice of food for Savannah and HIlton Head Island.

Winners will be notified by early April. The party will happen on Sunday night, May 6, 2018 poolside at the newly renovated DeSoto Savannah hotel. If you have attended our event in the past, then you know it is without question one of the best pure celebrations of food of the year. We’ve said it before and we will say it again. We spend a lot of time eating in this region. Our winners are never ever tied to advertising or any influence. We pick what we believe is the best in the region. Period.

Integrity. It is what Eat It and Like It has been built on, and we are damn proud of that.

So, would you care to join us? The public has always been welcomed to do so. A limited number of tickets are sold so you can come out and Eat It and Like it with us.
