We can say for certain that a lot of you refer to this as the most wonderful time of the year. The number of emails coming into Eat It and Like It World Headquarters over the holidays leads us to believe that there are many of you waiting to see who this year’s participants will be in Eat It and Like It Restaurant Week.

You can set your calendar, it begins on January 28th and will run, once again through Super Bowl Sunday, February 8th.

For those that aren’t familiar, Restaurant Week is an opportunity for local restaurants to offer special value on their menus at a fixed price during an otherwise slower time on the calendar. Across the Savannah area, that means Winter time and the space in between the first of the year and Valentine’s Day every year. Ours typically falls last week of January into the first week or so of February. Same as it was last year.

We can do without the ice storms we had last year, though. I think we’d all agree on that.

Once again, we’ve got a nice variety or restaurants participating. From Crown and Anchor Pub in Pooler, to Tortugas Island Grille in Thunderbolt and many more in between.

Menus will be posted as we receive them. If it isn’t posted, we haven’t received it yet.

One tiny difference you will notice this year is the fact that we have moved our Savannah Restaurant Week into a larger website (hostess and added it to our menu of events scheduled for this year. For example, we are hosting a Fish Fry on Sunday February 1st in Thunderbolt. That event is happening during Restaurant Week, but it is not a Restaurant Week event. Make sense?

Hostess City Eats is a group of events we are building in and round Restaurant Week not only this year, but in subsequent years going forward. This year it is the Fish Fry. Next year it will be that and more. In the short term savrestaurantweek.com will still get you there.
