Savannah’s Hostess City Eats: #FancyFishFry at Tubby’s Tank House
A few weeks back we shared the news that we were putting together something new and exciting for Savannah’s Restaurant Week in 2026. We are evolving the already popular 11 day event into something with a little more meat on the bone. Restaurant Week as we know it is staying exactly the same, but we are surrounding that fun with a handful of events around the city. They are all food-centric of course and all promise to be a great time in Hostess City.
It’s why we are calling it Hostess City Eats.
We’ve already announced 2 events, but now we are finally able to announce a location for our Fish Fry. We are calling it #fancyfishfy (“hashtag fancy fish fry”) and it will be held Sunday, February 1st at Tubby’s Tank House in Thunderbolt.
It’s a fairly simple concept, that afternoon we will gather 6 area chefs for a traditional Sunday Fish Fry re-imagined. There will be all you can eat fried fish bites and as well as cold beer to enjoy that day. We’ll have a tent, music, heaters if we need them, maybe some oysters and one great time.
It’s something we felt like we don’t see all that much in and around Savannah, so it was time we threw ourselves a little fish fry on a little grander scale-a block off the water on what is likely to be another lazy Sunday afternoon.
The chef’s that we will have participating will be trickled out as they commit, but we promise the eats will be fantastic. The fun will be equally so. The only thing that’s missing is you.
If you missed the announcement about Hostess City Eats, you can see those details here. If you are looking to grab some tickets for the Fish Fry, you can do that here.
Either way, it is going to be a great time. We look forward to seeing you.
