The number grows every year, but in 2023, over 17 million people chose to visit Savannah or its surrounding area. Those people are coming to the Hostess City in search of some of the foods that made this region famous. It’s the comfort foods that Savannah is largely known for. So then why do some people feel the need to take shots at new restaurants that are choosing to serve that type of food?
