Garden Square: Starland’s Latest Hot Spot
I’m calling it the rooftop without an elevator. That’s my vibe and I’m sticking to it.
Garden Square, a brand new dining spot, has just opened its doors, and it promises to be a delightful addition to the local food scene. With a beautiful ambiance and a menu designed for sharing, this restaurant could become the Starland neighborhood’s 2nd ‘hang out’ spot behind Starland Yard.
Garden Square is a beautiful space. The interior strikes a balance between elegance and comfort. You know, “rooftop feel without being on the top of a hotel.” The design creates an inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for casual gatherings or special occasions. The indoor dining area can accommodate around 40 guests, outdoor will top 60. It’s a large footprint that will be bustling on weekends, I’m sure.
The menu features a good looking selection of small plates, ideal for sharing with friends targeting a variety of diets. There’s a full liquor bar, complete with an impressive variety of wines available by the glass. (17 on day one!). It’s obvious the vision here is to have something for everyone. I haven’t tried any of the eats yet, we are going to give them an opening weekend to get rolling and I plan to visit next week.
The giant espresso maker in the back was a dead giveaway. Brunch is in the works. Down the road though, not immediately.
So where is it? You’ll find it in the courtyard in front of Brochus Family Tradition, off of 40th Street in Starland District. Open 5 days a week right now beginning at 4pm. Visuals? Take a a look.
