Farm Heritage Day at Hunter Cattle

It’s hard to believe we are coming up on the 2 year anniversary of our TV show.  Eat It and Like It debuted on September 24, 2011.  Since then we’ve enjoyed meeting people near and far.  Charleston to Florida.  North Carolina, Atlanta and New Orleans.  All of it in search of the treasures the South has to offer.

If I were to be asked which shoot I’ve enjoyed the most in the 2 years we’ve been producing Eat It and Like It, I’d have to say it was the day we spent at Hunter Cattle.  If it it wasn’t the most fun, it was in my personal top three.  We shot at Hunter Cattle for our Steak Episode in Season 1.  We traveled out to Brooklet on a day in late October during a “Farm Day” on Hunter Cattle’s property on Driggers Road.  Picture the scene:  Late October, a tiny tiny nip in the air, beautiful sunny skies and an afternoon out of on the farm.  Families enjoying petting and touching animals, hay rides, grilled burgers and bounce houses for the little ones.  I grew up in the city.  I am a city guy, but this was just pure joy.  Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces enjoying an afternoon of fun on the farm was something I will never forget.

Since then, Del Ferguson and his family at Hunter Cattle have been having more “Farm Days” on their property.  People come from near and far to enjoy them.  Now is your chance to do the same.  Their next one is on September 21st.  10:00am-5:00pm.  Load up the car with the kids, maybe some of their friends and enjoy a great great time.  Tell them Eat It and Like It sent ‘cha.  For more information you can visit their website www.huntercattle.com

See you on TV.
