Crystal Beer Parlor is a Savannah institution. Owned by a Savannah native, John Nichols, he has dedicated his culinary effort to not only great comfort foods, but a collection of historic memorabilia unmatched anywhere in the city and its all up on the walls of the restaurant. The space 1st opened in 1933. The 45 minute wait on the weekends will tell you how strong the following is with the locals. The reason why CBP makes this list is their turkey club sandwich. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve craved one for lunch, called in some take out and run out the door with it. It is, without question the best turkey club in Savannah. Fresh roasted turkey breast is a huge reason why, beyond that, John tells me he uses Durkees for mayo, which makes a difference as well. There is a lot of good food at CBP. That sandwich is at the top of my personal list. Click here for more
