There are a handful of spots along River Street where you can find good oysters, Bernie’s is one of them. We like Bernie’s for the atmosphere as much as the food. Oysters raw, everything else very likely fried, deep fried and not on your diet menu. The music might tell you Bernie’s is a dive on River Street but that isn’t exactly fair. Plenty of families stop in there for food and cold beer. No frills on the River. Bernie’s is a good spot to throw down a bucket of oysters.
