Savannah’s Wyld Dock Bar to offer Weekend Italian Menus

Ever-looking for something to help get some people into seats during the Winter months, The Wyld Dock Bar has come up with a weekend concept that should very much do the trick over the next several weeks. They are going Italian.

The pop-up series is called “Gatti’s”, named for owner Tony Seichrist’s grandfather, and will feature a good number of staples like Burrata, Beef Carpaccio and crudos.

The pop-ups are the 2025 version of last year’s Japanese-inspired “Yakitori” weekend dinners that were very popular during the few weeks they ran in 2024/25.

The menus are likely to change week to week with a few weekly staples. Items under initial consideration include a Mushroom Tagliatelle, local mushrooms, cream and thyme. There is a Gnocchi dish featuring a hand cut beef and pork ragu and a Veal Saltimboca with sage, prosciutto, white wine and lemon.

You get the idea.

Personally? I’ve very excited about this one. Tony put together an Italian dinner for our Eat It and Like It Supper Club last year and hit it out of the park. That was a wonderful meal.

For those wondering, The Wyld’s regular daily menu will only be available for lunch until Mid-January or so.

The Gatti’s menu will be offered Thursday/Friday/Saturday beginning at 5:30pm. They aren’t taking reservations. First come, first served. If you’ve been before and seen their indoor seating space (where it is warm) is not very large. It will fill up fairly easily. Govern yourselves accordingly.

You’ve got about 5 maybe 6 weeks to enjoy this special weekend treat at The Wyld Dock Bar. Then, Tony says, he’s got big plans for the 2nd half of the winter.

“We need to get our floors fixed.”
