Memorable Summer Sips at Hilton Head Island

As the kids head back to school this week, it feels like summer is coming to a close.  As I think back to my summer at Hilton Head, so many delicious drinks come to mind!  From shakes, to cocktails to a new speakeasy, it was a great summer to sip all over the island!

Favorite Beachside Drink: Mudslide from Jamaica Joe’z Beach Bar

For those that don’t know, Jamaica Joe’z is the pool and beachfront restaurant at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort off Folly Field Rd.  They sling a lot of daiquiris with cold beers and burgers all summer long.  This treat, the mudslide, was served frozen with chocolate, coffee, irish liqueurs and vanilla vodka.  A refreshing drink that makes you immediately feel like you’re on vacation!

Favorite New Speakeasy for Lots of Sipping: Starbird HHI

Everything I have sipped at Starbird HHI this summer has been phenomenal.  Shane and his team work incredibly hard to turn every component of a cocktail into perfection.  Click here to read my full write up on this newly opened spot in Wexford Village.

Favorite New Milkshake: Cookies n Cream at The Milkshake Factory

Hilton Head locals (especially those with kiddos) have eagerly been anticipating the opening of the Milkshake Factory in Main Street shops.  When they finally opened in early June, we all agreed it was worth the wait!  I am a big lover of cookies and cream shakes and they are now part of my list of island favorites.  They craft their own icecream and shakes are made to order so they are cold, creamy and delicious!

Favorite Cocktail:  Lowcountry Mule at Alexander’s Restaurant and Wine Bar

The year of 2025 turned me into a mule lover and I haven’t looked back.  Alexander’s in Palmetto Dunes introduced me to my new favorite mule… the Lowcountry Mule served in a copper mug with a tajin salted rim.  It’s made with locally crafted Burnt Church Cucumber Vodka, fresh lime juice, and Regatta ginger beer.  It’s so refreshing, perfectly sippable with a straw and so smooth.  I loved it so much I went back twice this summer!

Favorite Coffee:  Decaf Iced Latte at Origin Coffee Bar

Last week, Origin Coffee Bar opened its doors on the north end of Hilton Head Island with a ribbon cutting.  I usually shy away from caffeine but so many people have raved about Origin’s coffee that I just had to try it.  So, I ordered a decaf iced latte with caramel and even though it’s been a week, I can’t stop thinking about it.  The cold creaminess with a tiny bit of bitter matched with caramel sweetness was just the perfect combo for me.

Cheers to more celebrations, sips and fun this fall at Hilton Head!
