Since they opened their doors just before Christmas in 2014, The Grey has been no stranger to awards, recognition and the pouring in of accolades from all over America. Now you can add one more honor to their list of accomplishments. Savannah’s “Crown Jewel on MLK” has been named one of best restaurants in the South by Southern Living Magazine.
The honor comes as part of that publications annual list of “The South’s Best” which, in addition to restaurants, includes a ranking of cities in the South as well as a number of other categories. The Grey was named 2nd best restaurant in the South only trailing legendary spot Commander’s Palace in New Orleans.
Other restaurants in Southern Living’s Top 10 were Charleston’s Husk, FIG and Hominy Grill, Cooks and Soldiers in Atlanta and Fisher’s in Orange Beach, Alabama.
In the BBQ category, St. Simons Island’s Southern Soul BBQ was named best BBQ in the South.
