On February 17th, Eat It and Like It held the inaugural Iron Chef Challenge at the Southern Women’s Show in Savannah, where we awarded Chef Roberto Leoci the title of Iron Chef Savannah 2013. By all accounts, the event was a huge success and we look forward to making it bigger and better next year. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of our staff, Eat Squad, and family who helped by volunteering their time and worked hard to get this event off of the ground. Without everyone’s dedicated assistance this event would not have been possible, and we are truly grateful for everything you each contributed!
I would like to extend a special thank you to Izola’s Country Cafe in Hinesville, who came on board as a sponsor this year. We appreciate your support!
Last but not least, the biggest thanks goes to all of the wonderful chefs who dedicated their afternoon to participate in our event. Chef Roberto of Leoci’s Trattoria, Chef Vincent of The Pink House, Chef David of Circa 1875, and Chef Lauren of 22 Square Restaurant & Bar…each one of you is worthy of the title Iron Chef. I am thrilled that Savannah has growing culinary scene and these four chefs are at the forefront of putting Savannah in the national spotlight.
I hope I didn’t miss anyone. Great job, all.
See you on TV.
