The argument could be made that oyster roasts around here are about as common as $400 hotel rooms. If you really want one, you won’t have to travel very far to get yourself one.

The Wyld Dock Bar, one of Savannah favorite outdoor local watering holes, is hosting one on Sunday that promises to be as fantastic as anything they do at The Wyld. Which most would agree are some of the best casual eats in town.

The details are pretty straight forward. Sunday, January 8th (yes, this week) they are having 2 seatings. The first will be from 12p until 2p, the second will be from 2p until 4p.

Wyld Dock Bar owner Tony Seichrist tells me they are splitting it up to make it more of a user friendly experience. One long 12p-4p session can get messy.

I have no doubt this will be organized and well done.

Tickets are only $35 per person. That will get you all of the oysters you can handle.

It is suspected that the seatings will fill up. You are encouraged to stop by this week if you can to grab your tickets or call them at (912) 692-1219. There are no on-line sales. If you show up last minute, you may be outta luck.
