Savannah’s Rhett evolves its menu

Since it opened in 2018, Rhett has continued to add and change the way they approach seafood. Now the restaurant located inside the Alida hotel is taking another step in evolution by unveiling a re-imagined menu.

If you’ve gotten attached to their Cheddar Drop Biscuits, Mushroom Risotto, and Rhett Burger, don’t worry. Those are still on the menu, but they are now joined by a raw bar with daily selections from the nearby May River Oyster Company; Seafood Towers; Stuffed Rainbow Trout with mushrooms, leeks, and cured lemon pan sauce; Shrimp and Grits with andouille sausage, smoked tomato gravy, and scallion oil as well as small plate offerings like include Mussels and Fries, Smoked Fish Dip and She Crab Soup.

“From day one, Rhett has been a favorite among locals and diners thanks to its great location and classic menu offerings,” says Arthur Sertorio, Corporate Service Director, Food and Beverage at Makeready.

“Our evolution reflects our team truly embracing the local culture and wanting to spotlight the tastes and essence of the Lowcountry. We’re sticking to our Southern favorites, yet we’ve incorporated smart and thoughtful menu replacements and additions to give our diners the Coastal freshness and quality they crave.”

That’s not the only change you can expect. They have also added a selection of wines, cocktails, and beer to compliment the newly seafood-focused menu. Rhett’s brunch also has six new variations of Bloody Mary.

This all comes on the heels of the announcement of a one-night-only collaboration dinner with Charleston-based sister restaurant Hank’s Seafood coming up on Sunday, May 1. Tickets are still available for that. Just click here.
