Catadores Club Tequila Pairing Dinner Featuring Casa San Matías Tequila. Savannah Tequila Co., a full-service cantina and tequila lounge located at Plant Riverside District in Savannah, Ga., will host its monthly Catadores Club Tequila Pairing Dinner on Oct. 19 with a special focus on Casa San Matías Tequila, one of the oldest family tequila distilleries in Mexico. Savannah Tequila Co.’s talented Chef de Cuisine Luis Bueno has selected dishes that highlight the complex flavors and nuances of this exceptional Casa San Matías Tequila, offering an evening of indulgence and sophistication.
1st course – Sopa de Mariscos
Coconut Soup with Mahi, Shrimp, Yucca and Plantain
2nd course – Duck Enmoladas
Duck Carnitas with Mole, Grilled Queso Fresco, Plantain and Avocado Cream
3th course – Puerco en Salsa Verde
Pork Osso Buco with Tomatillo Sauce, Pinto Beans, Potatoes, Watercress and
Chicharron
4th course – Tasting of Traditional Flan
Dulce de Leche, Vanilla and Strawberry Flans with Chocolate-Hazelnut Crumble,
Raspberry Marshmallow and Mango
San Matías Tahona, has been crafting tequila for more than 130 years and is one of only three made exclusively with a large stone wheel that crushes the roasted agave to extract the liquid for distillation. This artisan, small-batch, premium tequila line will be accompanied by thoughtfully curated culinary pairings and an immersive cocktail experience.
Each month, Catadores Club Tequila Pairing Dinner series pairs authentic Mexican cuisine with acclaimed tequilas and international tequila experts, offering an interactive learning experience about spirits, food, and culture. Top tequila brand ambassadors lead attendees through guided tastings, offering the opportunity to sample special selections that are rarely seen in Savannah, Ga., and providing tableside cocktail experiences.
Reservations are required to attend the Catadores Club Tequila Dinner series. Tickets for the Oct.19 event are $95 plus tax and gratuity per person and include four courses of Mexican cuisine, tequila pairings, tableside cocktail experiences and guided tastings from Casa San Matías Tequila brand ambassadors.
