Mellow Mushroom Refreshes the Menu with Bold New Salads and Cocktails

Most of you know that we don’t generally traffic in chain stores around here. We do, on occasion, make exceptions especially when the chain is such a large part of our region in general.

Mellow Mushroom has never been afraid to keep things fresh. Now, the Atlanta-born, stone-baked pizza favorite is rolling out a menu update that leans a little lighter—but still delivers the bold, funky flavors fans expect.

Across all locations—including spots serving locals and visitors in Downtown Savannah, Pooler, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island—you’ll find a revamped lineup of salads designed to stand on their own or pair perfectly with those signature pies. Think brighter ingredients, bigger flavors, and options that don’t feel like an afterthought. Classics like Caesar, Cobb, and Greek are still in the mix, but the new additions are where things get interesting. The Asian Crunch brings a little sweet heat with pineapple, crispy onions, and creamy dressing, while the Apple Harvest hits that sweet-savory balance with apples, feta, and candied pecans. And if you’re the type who wants a little more substance, there’s a bonus: throughout May, you can add grilled or crispy chicken to any regular salad for free. Not a bad excuse to switch things up.

Behind the bar, the refresh continues. New cocktails like the Moondust Margarita and Spicy Mango Margarita bring tropical flavors with a kick, while options like the Blackberry Whiskey Sour and Espresso Martini keep things grounded in the classics—with a twist, of course. Even the shot menu got a playful upgrade, because, well… it’s Mellow Mushroom.
