Hilton Head’s Cafe Al Dente is bringing its pasta across the bridge. The soft opening at New Riverside Village in Bluffton is today at 4 PM.

This scratch-made Italian restaurant has New York roots, starting out in Oyster Bay. Damien and Yakshi Carlino brought it to Coligny Plaza on Hilton Head Island in February 2024, and the island has been talking about their pasta ever since.

The new Bluffton spot is at 303 Parkside Commons, Suite 103. The team says they’re staffed, trained and ready after a long road to opening day.

One heads-up: they’re still waiting on final approval of their liquor license, so it’s BYOB for now. Bring a bottle of wine or your favorite adult beverage to enjoy with dinner.

Bluffton keeps adding Italian options, and a place with this kind of track record is a welcome addition. If you’ve been to the Coligny Plaza location, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, this is a good excuse.
