Atlanta’s Grand Champion BBQ joins Foodie Awards Lineup

Due to a number of circumstances beyond anyone’s control, Brunswick’s South of Heaven BBQ will be unable to participate in this year’s Eat It and Like It Foodie Awards on April 23rd. Instead, Atlanta’s Grand Champion BBQ will slide into their spot and offer some of the best BBQ in the state to go along with seafood offerings from Charleston’s (and soon to be Savannah’s) The Darling Oyster Bar.

It has always been our vision to have great talent from outside of our area prepare the food for our party so that the local chefs, owners and guests can enjoy without being asked to ‘work’ and provide food. This allows us to keep that promise in place.

While we are disappointed that Judd and Kate Foster won’t be able to bring their exceptional South of Heaven product to Savannah this time, we hope to see them at some point down the road.

Grand Champion BBQ

In the meantime, Grand Champion has established itself as one of the best BBQ products in the Atlanta area and the State of Georgia for that matter. Anyone in this region who hasn’t tried it yet is in for a treat. We are very grateful to Owner Robert Owens for agreeing to pinch-hit within 3 minutes of getting the call. Georgia’s BBQ community is very real.

A menu was briefly discussed. We will share it when we have more details. You can see more about Grand Champion BBQ here.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday night, April 23rd at Ships of the Sea Museum for the Eat It and Like It Foodie Awards presented by Southern Crown Partners.
