Zunzifest returns on Tuesday, May 10, to Zunzi’s with free sandwiches for their text community. This month 26% of sales will be donated to Mary’s Place of the Coastal Empire.
“Zunzifest! is our most exciting event of the month because we not only get to give back to our community by providing free sandwiches and show our team some love, but we also get to raise money for a worthy cause,” says Zunzi’s owner Chris Smith. “This month, we are proud to support Mary’s Place of the Coastal Empire to assist the nonprofit in providing resources and advocacy to sexual assault victims and prevention education to more than 20,000 youth and young adults.”
Zunzi’s text community can go to the side pick-up window at Zunzi’s to receive a free regular Conquistador or Rising Sun sandwich from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Zunzi’s beach bar-themed sister concept, Zunzibar, will also be open until 5 p.m. The full South African-inspired menus at Zunzi’s and Zunzibar will be available for walk-up guests who are not a member of the text community. Traditionally, Zunzifest was held on the 26th day of each month, in honor of Z, the 26th letter of the alphabet. Now Zunzifest takes place on the second Tuesday of the month to avoid November and December holidays.
