Josh Thomas closed his restaurant, the very popular J Thomas Kitchen in early June. That ended a 13 year run as a chef in Savannah. We asked him his own reasons why and what he believes is contributing to the run of closings Savannah has seen during the Summer of 2023.

They are closing everywhere thanks to THE GOVERNMENT not the president starting thier new reign of cashless society and pay tax or else approach to businesses.
Great interview. Good to hear Josh’s perspective to confirm what a lot of us suppose. Really going to miss his restaurant.
Interesting comments from Josh Thomas, and for me, not all that surprising. Although I’m not and never have been in the F & B industry, I know it is is not for everyone. The hours can be horrendous, and not for everyone, especially at a low wage. So, as Josh closed with, be kind to the servers, and be willing to pay for quality.
We were sad to see J Thomas close. The food was truly exceptional. Wish JT well and much happiness. I hope that he will come back at some point. I’ll definitely be there.
Well done guys! All the Best to come.
