Uncle Billy’s Burger Joint is now open on the south end of Hilton Head in the former One Hot Mama’s restaurant space.  Billy’s and its sister restaurant, Papi Tequila, are the newest restaurant duo for the CRAB Restaurant Group.  Dine at either restaurant and you can order from their menu AND off the other’s menu which makes this a fantastic one stop option for larger groups or picky eaters!  

I stopped in for a burger at Uncle Billy’s yesterday and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.  The Steakhouse smash burger was juicy, cheesy, covered in crispy fried onions and slightly elevated with roasted garlic cloves and aioli.  But my favorite part was the bun.  It was perfectly buttered, griddled and had the best crunch.  To me, a great burger requires multiple napkins… I needed 6.

Uncle Billy’s has a solid selection of fried potatoes to accompany its burgers including seasoned fries, tots and sweet potato fries.  My request of half tots and half fries was easily accommodated and was hot, crispy and delicious!  Next time, I’ll give their Chili Herb Parmesan Fries a try.  

What to order: Double Patty Steakhouse Burger with American cheese, half tots/half fries, and a cold vanilla shake to wash it all down. In addition to the burgers and fries, there are chicken tender baskets as well as a vegan burger options, if you are wondering. They are open for lunch and dinner.
