Last week we told you about a number of new restaurants that were planned for Savannah during 2022 and beyond. We also mentioned that some of these openings would draw more attention than others both locally as well as nationally.
Well, it only took a week, but it has already begun.
Two spots set to open in Savannah in this year have made their way on to Vogue’s Most Anticipated Restaurant openings in America for 2022.
The two locals that made the cut are Brochu’s Family Tradition in the Starland area at Bull and 40th Streets. We spoke to Andrew last year about this project and what you can expect when the doors open later this year.
The other is Lucía. Pizzeria Vittoria’s Kyle Jacovino has had his eyes on this concept for a number of years. It was all a matter of timing. Clearly that is now. There are already plans to expand Vittoria (a 2nd oven is on the way) but now this new Starland District concept will feature not only his soon to be famous Meatball grinders, but also a rotating set of pasta dishes.
We are told Lucía is about a year away.
