Two new Brunches on Savannah’s Scene
Brunch. It’s not just for breakfast anymore. I lost count a long time ago, but the number of restaurants in Savannah that offer some type of brunch services very likely pushes triple digits. Don’t quote me on this, but it just seems like if there is a kitchen on site, then somehow, someone is going to figure out a way to make Brunch service work. Now we have a couple more on Savannah’s scene to choose from.
Erica Davis Low Country, Thunderbolt– Erica Davis in Thunderbolt is already some of the best comfort food in Savannah. Last week, they began Sunday Brunch Service from 10am-2:30pm. Highlights on the menu include French toast with Praline Drizzle, Beignets, Biscuits and Gravy and Fried Chicken. There’s a lot more of course (menu below). The advantages are a quality brunch with plenty of parking available if you want to avoid the hassles downtown.
Sorry Charlie’s, Downtown Savannah – Sorry Charlie’s on Ellis Square is also getting into the game with brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 2pm. The menu, curated by Executive Chef Nate Cayer, features traditional brunch items with Southern flare, incorporating fresh, local seafood. Guests will find a selection of sweet and savory dishes, as well an assortment of breakfast sides. Some highlights include Crab Cake Benedict with Poached Eggs, Fried Okra, and Hollandaise, 10 Grain Pancakes with Warm Coconut Yuzu Maple Syrup and topped with Black Lime and Vanilla Butter and Egg White Frittata with Bacon, Arugula, Swiss Cheese, and Charred Cherry Tomatoes. They are also creating a specialty menu of brunch-forward cocktails.
Reservations are not required for brunch at Sorry Charlie’s. You can also see their full brunch menu below.
