For anyone who is a fan of farm-to-table fare, the announcement that The Macintosh is closing is sad news.
The Charleston restaurant’s last day will be Sunday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The owners have said that Cocktail Club on the floor above will remain open for the foreseeable future.
Steve Palmer, founder and partner of The Indigo Road restaurant group, told Charleston’s Post and Courier that the closure isn’t due to COVID’s toll on business. He simply said, “The Macintosh’s moment in time has come and gone.”
