Nine years after opening their doors on MLK, Jr. Blvd in Downtown Savannah, The Grey Restaurant’s management team has announced plans for expansion internationally, in Paris, France.
Eater Atlanta-who was first to report the story– says the yet-to-be-named restaurant will be in the heart of the city and feature Partner and Executive Chef Mashama Bailey’s Southern spin on a ‘French Focused’ menu. The 50 seat space will feature a wine cellar to be used for private dining.
“Having a place in France makes sense to us, because what we’re doing is related to that sensibility of how people gather and eat around the table here.” Bailey told Eater during a recent interview in New York City.
The news comes a few months after the announcement that The Grey Market -their first spinoff location-would be closing in Savannah. The Grey Market and The Diner Bar both remain open in Austin, Texas.
